Converting building data into real value

AssetLedger measures a building's real energy use, has the savings independently verified, and turns those verified reductions into carbon credits the owner can sell.

The industrial carbon price applies to regulated large emitters and is shown as market context, not as a price AssetLedger credits realise.

Why this matters

Three pressures, one building.

Owners are being asked to prove performance they have no way to prove.

Operating costs
NOI under pressure

Energy costs climb every year and eat into net operating income at every renewal. Retrofit capital competes with everything else in the budget.

Disclosure
Now mandatory

Emissions reporting is mandatory in a growing list of cities, and self-reported numbers no longer satisfy it. Falling short carries real cost.

Capital
Verified or unfinanceable

Lenders want third-party-verified emissions data before green financing clears credit committee. No proof, no capital.

How it works

From meter reading to a credit the owner can sell.

One system handles the whole path: measure the building, verify the savings, issue the credit, pay the owner.

Step one

Measure

Meter data establishes what the building used before the retrofit, adjusted for weather.

Step two

Verify

An independent engineer audits the savings and signs off on every tonne.

Step three

Issue

Each verified tonne is issued once and retired once, on a record that prevents double-counting.

Step four

Earn

Credits are sold to buyers who want traceable supply, and the proceeds go to the owner.

Built on recognised measurement and verification standards. The engineer who signs off on a tonne is paid by the building, not by us. so nobody attesting to a tonne has an interest in how many tonnes exist.

Who it’s for

One verified record, four uses.

01
Owners and asset managers

Audit-ready proof of performance, plus a return on retrofit spend that does not depend on utility savings alone. The owner keeps the credit.

02
Lenders and insurers

Verified, comparable performance data on the assets behind their exposure.

03
Credit buyers

Reductions tied to a named building and a metered tonne, with the verification package attached.

04
Validators and engineering firms

A structured verification workflow with defined roles and clear engagement terms.

Where we are

Early, and honest about it.

AssetLedger is pre-accreditation. The methodology is built to recognised verification standards, and a first pilot cohort is forming now.

Credits today are sold bilaterally to informed buyers with complete documentation. They are not registry-grade, accredited or compliance-eligible instruments — formal accreditation is on the roadmap, not a claim we make today. Detailed methodology, pilot terms and financial materials are shared under NDA.
